Salsa Festival Prague 2027

Three days of Cuban Salsa, international artists, dance workshops, live music and unforgettable parties. Join Salsa Festival Prague from August 20–22, 2027.

Prague is getting ready to dance again! Following a successful first edition in 2026, Salsa Festival Prague returns from August 20 to 22, 2027, bringing together dancers from around the world for three days dedicated to Cuban Salsa, music, culture and social dancing.

Organized by Cuban dancer, choreographer and dance educator Hanser Estenoz, the festival was created to bring the authentic spirit of Cuban Salsa to the heart of Europe and connect dancers from different countries through their shared passion for music and dance.

Whether you're an experienced Salsero, a passionate Timbero or someone looking to discover the international Cuban Salsa community, Salsa Festival Prague offers an opportunity to learn from internationally recognized artists, dance until morning and enjoy a weekend in one of Europe's most beautiful cities.

From a Successful First Edition to Salsa Festival Prague 2027

The first edition of Salsa Festival Prague took place in August 2026, welcoming nearly 500 dancers from more than 40 countries.

Over three days, participants enjoyed dance workshops, international instructors, social dancing, performances, parties and live Cuban music.

The event brought together dancers of different nationalities and experience levels, creating an international atmosphere centered around Cuban Salsa.

Building on that first edition, Salsa Festival Prague 2027 returns for its second year, continuing its mission of connecting the international Salsa community in Prague.

What to Expect at Salsa Festival Prague 2027

The festival combines dance education, entertainment and social dancing in one weekend.

Participants can enjoy professional workshops during the day, meet dancers from around the world and spend their evenings dancing to music selected by international DJs.

Cuban Salsa Workshops with International Artists

One of the main attractions of Salsa Festival Prague is the opportunity to learn directly from internationally recognized dancers and instructors.

The festival program explores Cuban Salsa and the musical traditions that influence it, with workshops focusing on technique, musicality, body movement, partnerwork and improvisation.

Depending on the final workshop schedule, participants can discover subjects such as:

  • Cuban Salsa and Casino: Improve your partnerwork, combinations, leading and following.

  • Timba and musicality: Explore the relationship between Cuban music, rhythm and movement.

  • Afro-Cuban dance: Discover traditional movements and their influence on contemporary Cuban dancing.

  • Rumba Cubana: Develop coordination, musical interpretation and expressive movement.

  • Son Cubano: Explore one of the musical and dance traditions that contributed to the development of Cuban Salsa.

  • Styling and body movement: Refine your technique, coordination and individual expression.

The workshops provide opportunities for dancers with different levels of experience to improve their skills and discover new approaches to movement.

Three Nights of Salsa Parties and Social Dancing

For many dancers, the social experience is one of the most important reasons to attend an international Salsa festival.

At Salsa Festival Prague, the dance floor becomes a meeting point for participants from different countries, cultures and dance communities.

Throughout the weekend, festival parties offer the opportunity to enjoy Cuban Salsa, Timba and other Latin rhythms, with music from international DJs.

From spontaneous dances with new partners to reconnecting with friends from previous festivals, the social atmosphere is an essential part of the event.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights will bring dancers together for a weekend of music, celebration and social dancing.

Live Cuban Music and Dance Performances

Cuban Salsa has a strong connection to live music, and Salsa Festival Prague celebrates this relationship through its entertainment program.

Alongside the workshops and social dancing, the festival includes professional dance performances and live music.

The announced program features Cuban singer Haila María Mompié, bringing the energy of Cuban music to Prague.

Live performances allow festival participants to experience another side of Cuban culture while enjoying an evening of music and dancing.

Everything in One Festival Complex

One of the advantages of Salsa Festival Prague is its convenient location.

The 2027 edition will take place at the Hotel Artemis and Hotel Olympik Congress complex in Prague 8.

Workshops, parties, performances and accommodation are located within the same festival complex, allowing participants to move easily between activities.

This arrangement makes it possible to enjoy the full festival weekend without spending unnecessary time traveling between different venues.

Accommodation is available at Hotel Artemis and Hotel Olympik Congress, subject to hotel availability.

The complex is connected to Prague's public transport network, offering convenient access to the city center.
